We are looking for an enthusiastic intern with a passion for art, public history, and archival work. This paid internship is designed for students with a background in Archival Studies, Museum Studies, or History, providing them with hands-on experience in a dynamic and supportive environment. The intern will assist with the organization, cataloging, and preservation of our museum's archival collections. They will participate in photographing collection items, digitizing documents, and organizing digital files in our catalog system. They will also contribute to special projects aimed at increasing public engagement with our archives and collection. Strong research, communication, and organizational skills are essential, as is the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Familiarity with archival management processes, digitization tools, and museum standards is also desired. Applications are due by April 25th. The internship will ideally start in mid to late May, but the start date can be adjusted to accommodate the student's schedule. This internship runs for approximately 14 weeks with compensation set at $17/hr with approximately 20hrs. per week commitment. Weekly hours will require some in person work with the potential for some hybrid remote work opportunities.
