InnoTech Summer Undergraduate Internship 2025 – Aetna Tech – Aetna Medicaid Tech

Position Summary

This program is an 11-week full-time opportunity that provides real work experience with a team in your business area. You will be aligned to projects to lead or contribute to while also participating in networking, development, and career exploration activities. Our Corporate Interns can apply for future full-time roles during the program and have an increased likelihood to receive an offer for a post-graduation role.

 

The summer internship program is from May 28 – August 8, 2025. 
 
CVS Health follows a 3 day in office (generally Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) hybrid work model providing office-based colleagues the ability to flex between working in the office and working from home based on the work you need to accomplish. The other 2 days each week will be working remotely from home, office, or another location of your choice.  

 

Our office location for this role will be Scottsdale, AZ. A housing stipend may be provided, based on eligibility, and interns will be given the opportunity to connect with each other prior to the start of the program to coordinate housing if desired. The hourly rate is $23.00, with 40 hours per week, July 4th off (company holiday), and two days of paid leave. Please disregard the range listed below.

About the Business Area  

The Medicaid Technology Organization is a part of CVS Health that focuses on driving business growth and improving member experience through technology solutions. The organization is responsible for delivering growth, proposal, and IT solutions that enable Medicaid and Integrated Duals growth goals. They also handle new state contract and renewal implementations, and work on creating an interoperable healthcare platform that supports Aetna's value-based care and provider engagement
 
The organization aims to power business optimization and digitalization through technology platform modernization, capability simplification, and strategic program delivery. They focus on delivering enabling technology capabilities that support network, provider, digital, and CVS asset integration aligned with Medicaid priorities. Additionally, they work on delivering business value and efficiencies across existing and new AI and automation capabilities.

Work visa sponsorship is not available for this role. This includes participation in Curricular Practical Training (CPT), Optional Practical Training (OPT), and F-1 Visa programs.  

 

Required Qualifications

  • Build industry and competitor databases summarizing key information to support technology investments or opportunities
  • Serve as IT project coordinator developing summary reports and tracks multiple tasks accurately
  • Document technical diagrams, policies and/or procedures
  • Prepares presentations to Medicaid IT leadership team

 
Preferred Qualifications

  • Leadership experience (e.g., student organizations, sports, or work-related projects)
  • An interest in obtaining full-time position within CVS Health upon graduation
  • Internship or work experience in a related field
  • Strong communication skills (written & verbal)
  • Experience encouraging teamwork and a positive environment to improve team effectiveness
  • Experience being resourceful and quickly and successfully adapting to change
  • Be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
  • Possess strong analytical and problem resolution skills

 

Education

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree program with an expected graduation date between December 2025 and August 2026
  • Preferred majors include Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Management, Information Technology or related field
