2023 Summer Analyst Program - Chief Operating Office - Investment Bank

Your role:

We are looking for someone like this to:

• Work as a partner with the various businesses of the Investment Bank.
• Provide business enablement, support, front-to-back oversight across business functions within the IB
• Own projects, from start to finish, which support, challenge, and improve the business
• Develop your knowledge of the IB through exposure across business areas, products and regions thereby gaining an understanding of the front-to-back business functions
• Provide support and solutions to the business in a dynamic environment across financial, regulatory, and management areas
• Work with senior management across business areas to analyze, develop, and implement strategic solutions to improve and enhance business models.
• Be assigned to a COO business management team where you will learn the team’s functions and collaborate with the business and its partners in control functions.
• Oversee regulatory remediation and change and drive firm-wide simplification, automation and cost initiatives across the IB.
• Responsible for overseeing key global strategic business activities in addition to orchestrating the Group Functions across the firm.
• Contribute and produce from Day 1!

Your expertise:

IB COO summer interns come from a variety of backgrounds, but share intellectual curiosity, passion for solving problems, learn from each other, and a desire to do impactful work. You need to be a junior graduating in December 2023 or May/June 2024 and have a 3.2 minimum cumulative GPA. It doesn’t matter what you’re studying (really, it doesn’t).

We would like to see evidence that you can:

• Analyze a problem, understand the key points, and make appropriate decisions
• Plan, organize, and communicate effectively
• Make things happen and diligently stick with given tasks
• Be collaborative with colleagues and engage in opportunities
• Brainstorm ideas and be proactive

Your Program:

On this 10 week summer program, you’ll be a real part of the team, working with our experts and learning about the industry, our clients, our firm and a specific area of it. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to develop new skills and make contacts. And if you impress us, we might invite you to join our Graduate Talent Program once you’ve graduated.
