
Front Desk Agent
At Days inn Atlantic City , we strive to make each stay comfortable and enjoyable for our guests. We are a strong, dedicated team that is currently looking for a Front Desk Agent that will be able to perform the following duties:
- Greet and check in/out guests upon arrival/departure
- Use our computer-based reservation system to make, modify, and cancel reservations
- Perform monetary transactions using credit cards and cash
- Maintain a communication log to ensure issues are fully communicated to the team so that they can be resolved appropriately and swiftly
- Answer guest inquiries pertaining to hotel services, room rates and other requested information, both over the phone and in-person
- Address guest complaints or refer them to the manager or housekeeping staff, where appropriate
- Communicating with housekeepers to ensure rooms are ready in a timely manner and that guests can be checked in early where possible
We are looking for full-time employees for a year-round position, but we are also okay with part-time employees or seasonal (summertime) employees. Ideally, we would like a candidate who is
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Able to think critically and solve problems
- Extroverted, people-oriented, and friendly
- Motivated to provide customer satisfaction
- Has prior experience in the service industry (although not required!)
Pay starts at $16/hr but is negotiable depending on the responsibilities a candidate is willing to take. The job is fast-paced in the summer but much slower during the rest of the year, since Atlantic City is a seasonal beach town, so students who are actively taking classes are welcome and encouraged to do schoolwork or other work if time permits.
