
Research Intern
We are looking for a Research Intern to support the storytelling foundation of Narcissus Beauty.
In this 6-month unpaid internship, you’ll research global mythological stories, figures, symbols, and historical beauty rituals to help guide product development, brand storytelling, blog content, and social media campaigns.
You’ll be responsible for breaking down mythological stories into easily digestible summaries for the content team, blog & copywriting intern, and the founder.
Your research will directly influence product collections, content calendars, and campaign themes. This role is perfect for someone who loves deep research, history, storytelling, and connecting cultural narratives to creative projects.
You will meet weekly with the Founder and key members of the content team to review research tasks, discuss deliverables, and collaborate on upcoming projects.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed research on global mythologies, deities, folktales, symbolism, and ancient beauty rituals
- Break down research into clear summaries, timelines, and bullet points for use in product development and content creation
- Deliver research findings in organized formats using Notion, Google Docs, and Microsoft Office
- Properly cite sources and create bibliographies for all research
- Collaborate with the Founder, Blog & Copywriting Intern, and Content Creators to align research with upcoming products, blog articles, and campaigns
- Suggest potential storylines, themes, or historical references for future collections and marketing campaigns
- Stay organized and manage deadlines for multiple research topics at once

Essential Skills:
- Strong research skills with the ability to synthesize complex information into digestible summaries
- Familiarity with bibliographies, proper source citation, and academic research methods
- Proficient with Notion, Google Docs, and Microsoft Office for organizing and delivering research
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
- Strong writing and communication skills
- Self-motivated, deadline-driven, and able to work independently
- Passion for history, mythology, storytelling, and the intersection of culture and beauty
